This festival of innovative dance films returns in its fifth edition. This year's international selection, curated by Cynthia Pepper, features the hour-long "Isadora Duncan: Movement from the Soul," an award-winning documentary by Bay Area filmmakers Dan Geller and Dayna Goldfine, which includes original dance performances by the Oakland Ballet as staged by Isadora Duncan dancer Lori Bellilove. The film has been seen all over the world, most recently at the Cinematique Française, during their October 2001 tribute to Duncan.

Other dance shorts included are:
"A Dancer Falls from the Sky," an animated dance film from Australia created by The Physical TV Company and choreographed and directed by Richard James Allen and Karen Pearlman.
"Measure," a wonderful contemporary tap film choreographed by Gaelen and Dayna Hanson of the dance company 33 Fainting Spells based in Seattle, Washington. The film takes place within the decaying walls of a constricted, 4-foot wide corridor in an unrestored turn-of-the-century boarding school.
"U 3," an excerpt of this dance film created by Andrea Müller of Company of Heaven will be screened. "U 3" is choreographed and danced by the Viennese dance company called cy. ancal. The film utilizes survellance and diving cameras to create original digital effects for dance.
"Link" is a well-crafted short choreographed and directed by Deborah Van Slet from Montreal, Canada. Dancers use a chain link fence as an inspiration and as a prop to create wonderful movement and exciting camerawork.
